Mr. Sunil Godhwani
Mr. Sunil Godhwani, Chairman and Managing Director, Religare Enterprises Limited, is the driving force behind the company. A man with a vision to create a global business of excellence, he is the inspiration to all as he spearheads the company’s management and global operations; strategizing and directing it through its next phase of growth.
Sunil brings to the company strong leadership skills, vigor and a passion for excellence. He believes in nurturing a culture that is entrepreneurial, result oriented, customer focused and based on teamwork. He has given strategic direction to Religare’s growth since his joining in 2001. He has been instrumental in establishing Religare’s vast network and shaping the Company’s strategies in India and abroad. He is on a constant lookout for taking the Company to new heights by managing various acquisitions, finding new partners for joint ventures and scouting new avenues for the business. Under his able leadership, Religare Enterprises Limited is India’s fastest growing, integrated financial services company with a significant presence in 12 countries across Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Americas. With over 10,000 employees, Religare serves over a million investors ranging from corporate clients to high net worth individuals.
Sunil has a diverse and wide-ranging experience of over two decades in managing large scale businesses, he also serves as Director on the Boards of Religare Technova Limited, Super Religare Laboratories Limited, Religare Macquarie Wealth Management Limited, AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company Limited, Religare Voyages Limited, Parkway Holdings, Fortis Healthcare Limited and other subsidiaries/ Group companies of Religare.
Born in New Delhi, Sunil completed his schooling from prestigious St. Columbas School post which he went abroad for studying. He holds a B. Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Finance from Polytechnic Institute of New York. He loves Chinese food and is an avid sports enthusiast with interest in Cricket, Table Tennis and Golf.
Mr. Padam Bahl
Mr. Padam Bahl has been practicing as a chartered accountant and an income tax advisor since 1979 and has more than 27 years of work experience. He was the chairman of the Northern India Regional Council, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Amritsar Branch for the year 1998-99 and was a member of the Income Tax Advisory Committee, Amritsar Chapter during the years 2002-03 and 2003-04. Mr.Bahl holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Kurukshetra University and a bachelor’s degree in law from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has also received a diploma in information system audit from SSI, Amritsar.
Mr. Vikram Sahgal
Mr. Vikram Sahgal has professional experience of around 27 years in the engineering field. He is a Member of the Managing Committee of PHDCCI and also a Member of the National Committee of Defence of the CII. Mr. Sahgal is a Mechanical Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi.
Dr. Preetinder Singh Joshi
Dr. Preetinder Singh Joshi has over 32 years of experience in medical profession in India and abroad. Dr. Joshi is an eminent Cardiologist and is presently working as Director of Maharaj Sawan Singh Charitable Hospital, Beas (Punjab). He holds an M.B.B.S. degree from Medical College, Amritsar and M.D. degree in Cardiology & General Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. He is also a member of Royal College of Physicians, UK.
Mr. Maninder Singh Grewal
Maninder Singh Grewal, MD - Religare Technova Limited, is a veteran of the IT Industry since over 28 years of experience. He has been involved with growth and evolution of the industry from Compaq portables to mainframes and from DOS to the Apple OS.He has substantial general management, sales and marketing experience in the IT industry. His skills lie in strategy formulation as well as implementation and execution excellence. He is well known and respected in the Indian IT Industry. Mr. Grewal is responsible for fueling the growth engines of the company by providing strategic business planning, conceptual as well as technical inputs. He is a mechanical engineer from IIT Kharagpur.
Mr. Harpal Singh
Harpal Singh, has a diverse and wide-ranging experience of 26 years in the corporate sector. He presently holds multiple positions including Senior Advisor, Corporate Projects- Mahindra and Mahindra Chairman, Fortis Healthcare Limited and Religare Securities Limited. Starting with the Tata Administrative Service, he has held senior positions in Hindustan Motors, Telco and Board Level responsibility at Shaw Wallace in the past. An alumnus of The Doon School, he is an (Hons.) Graduate in Economics from St. Stephens College, New Delhi. He also holds a B.S degree in Economics and a Masters' Degree in Public Affairs from the CSCH, California, U.S.A.
Mr. J W Balani
Mr. Balani is engaged in the business of export and import of white goods. He has more than 39 years of work experience. Mr. J W Balani has undertaken studies at Broadhembury College, Somerset, U.K.
Ms. Sunita Naidoo
Ms. Sunita Naidoo, specializes in orthodontics. She has been practicing in the UK for the past 13 years. She has helped set up and run a reputable practice at Clapham, Bedford 7 years ago. She understands all aspects of dentistry and is able to provide a range of treatment plans to suit the different requirements of patients.
